Science
We build on children’s natural curiosity about the world, so that they enjoy science and understand its importance in everyday life, health and the environment. Through practical investigations, pupils learn to think and work like scientists: asking questions, making predictions, measuring accurately and drawing conclusions.
Pupils develop scientific knowledge and understanding (concepts such as forces, materials and living things) and learn to work scientifically through observing over time, pattern seeking, classifying, fair and comparative testing and research. Every lesson begins by recalling earlier learning, and each unit has a knowledge organiser of key facts and vocabulary.
