Art and Design

Our art curriculum nurtures pupils’ creativity, imagination and visual literacy, so that they think like artists and designers. Pupils learn to experiment, express ideas and reflect on their own work and the work of others, and to appreciate art across cultures, time periods and creative industries.

Units build skills in four areas: drawing, painting and mixed media, sculpture and 3D, and craft and design. Pupils use sketchbooks to practise techniques and develop their ideas.
