  • Religious Education Week

    This week Princess May Primary children will be investigating, reflecting and responding to big questions about the 6 principal religions in Britain.

    We will be learning about Judaism, Sikhism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism and Hinduism. We are lucky enough to be hearing from visitors from the  different religious groups.

    They will be exploring artefacts, composing songs, dances and creating art. It is going to be an exciting time. Please ask your child all about what they have learnt.

  • Councillor Bramble, Deputy Mayor, visits Princess May

    We were lucky enough to host Councillor Bramble, Deputy Mayor for Hackney Council this week, where the Councillor took some questions from our own School Council. We had an array of brilliant questions from the children and we certainly learned a great deal from the discussions and answers given. The Senior Leadership Team also met Councillor Bramble for a discussion about our successes and the challenges we are facing. Thank you very much for visiting our school, Councillor!

  • Alex Scott helps Princess May to #passonplastic

    We were fortunate enough to welcome not only Alex Scott this week, but also the Premier League trophy, courtesy of Premier League Stars. Alex and Isaac from Sky Ocean Rescue led a whole-school assembly in which the children learned how to reduce their use of single use plastics, or SUPs.     Our last day of term is on Friday 21st December when school will close at 1:30pm. Please collect your child in the usual way. Unfortunately, after-school clubs will not run on this day.

  • Princess May Pupil wins Hackney Mayor's Music Award

    Congratulations to Lyan, who has won the prestigous Hackney Mayor's Music Award which took place at the Hackney Music Service Gala Concert. Lyan, supported by Mr Oban, attended a lavish ceremony at the Hackney Empire. Despite stiff competition, with many other worthy young musicians shortlisted, Lyan was selected as the winner. We are very proud of Lyan and his musical achievements.
