The School Day
Our school day is organised in such a way to provide maximum time for learning across a broad and balanced curriculum.
School runs from 8:55am until 3:25pm, which equates to 32.5 hours per week.
Breakfast Club
We offer our children a positive start to the day by inviting them to breakfast club at 7.45 - 8.55am. Here they can enjoy a healthy breakfast, participate in activities and prepare for a day of learning.

School Day Begins
Our school day begins at 8:45am, when children are invited to join us for 10 minutes of additional morning work each day. School formally begins at 8:55am, at which point the school gate closes promptly.
Mornings
Our mornings are dedicated to mathematics and English learning. We hold collective assemblies four days a week. This is a space for children to learn about current events, celebrate festivals, share learning, sing and be reflective. Children also enjoy a 15 minute break in the morning.
Lunch Time
Children can enjoy a healthy packed lunch or a school meal. Lunchtime supervisors are trained to support children's play. We also have Playground Buddies who are trained in conflict resolution to help sort out problems at school. Children take this role very seriously, which gives them valuable life skills. Activities such as reading, skipping, drawing and table tennis are available. We also provide a wide range of lunchtime clubs which are delivered by our teachers and support staff.
Afternoons
The afternoons are filled with learning based on the wider curriculum. Children enjoy Science, Geography, History, Spanish, Art, DT, PE, Computing, Music and more.
After School
Princess May After School Club is designed to be a place where children enjoy learning in a stimulating, caring atmosphere and develop confidence or gain new skills.
After School Club is open every day for all children from Nursery to Year 6. At 3.25pm, the children are sent to the hall, where they are supervised at all times. When club finishes, the teachers bring the children down to the playground to be collected at either 4.45pm or 5:45pm, for those participating in the extended club.
